The promoters of the ACME Show want to thank our dealers and customers for another great show this spring! The show was sold out and had many unique dealers from all over Texas and the US including; John Kalavage of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Ralph Dobbins of Houston. We also had Walter Dudgeon, a well known dealer in Arizona who came all the way from Phoenix to attend the show. We were also joined by our many repeat dealers, collectors, and buyers from the Austin and San Antonio areas as well as some new ones. The greeters at the show desk were dressed in military costume (WWII Army Air Corps WAC uniform, and a 1960’s era USAF female blue pinstripe uniform) which added to the show’s ambiance. We had a nice, steady gate for most of the day and The Knights of Columbus Hall is a great venue with it's wide isles, bright lighting, clean restrooms and a really good snack bar. The show had its fair share of Third Reich memorabilia, but there were also a lot of U.S. items spanning across the spectrum of American history from the Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI & II, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm and the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We also had a nice spattering of foreign militaria from Japan, Great Britain, the former Soviet Union, South America and many other countries too. It was a fun and exciting show and we look forward to a better and bigger show in the fall as we attempt to revamp the floor plan to squeeze in some additional tables. We hope to see you there!
